RIDE RECAP
Those who could not attend todays ride were missed and also missed a great ride.
Nine bikes took part in the ride with myself and my faithful copilot Maritza
(the lone female on the ride) in the lead, Gene was a perfect tail gunner and Rich,
John, Hector, George, Ben, Mike O, and Rob filled the middle of the pack.
There were no mechanical problems, mishaps, near misses or rain drops.
Everyone's riding was superb. The group stayed tight, lane changes seemed
effortless and in general the riding was skillful and enjoyable.
I was proud to be a part of this riding group today. We were out for 11.5 hours,
traveled almost 400 miles through the Pocono Mountains with 6 stops for gas,
lunch and sight seeing and dispite about 45 minutes of traffic congestion
coming home on the GWB and Cross Bronx Expressway, we ended the ride only
5 minutes past the projected end time of 7:00 pm. All in all it was a really
great day of riding. Thank you again to those who participated.
